Mark has over 40 years experience in the European heating industry and has worked in roles across the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Germany and Turkey. He is currently Technology and Solutions Portfolio Director at Vaillant. In his role as Chair of the HPA UK, Mark champions low carbon heating solutions and the heat pump sector’s interests actively engaging with Government and policymakers on the methods to reach net zero by 2050.

A chartered mechanical engineer, Laura has worked in the energy industry for over 20 years. She is a founding director of Hillside Infinitas Ltd, which develops large-scale decarbonisation projects with heat pumps at their heart. As co-chair of HPA UK, Laura is a vocal advocate for heat pumps at national and local levels on their importance in delivering heat decarbonisation and energy security.

Chris Taylor-Hamlin, Senior Environment Research Manager at Daikin, brings a wealth of experience in the renewable heating sector and within trade associations and has been an active member of HPA UK. As co-vice chair of HPA UK, he represents the heat pump industry within Government forums and advocates to accelerate the deployment of high efficiency heat pump technologies and for training across the supply chain.

Emma Bohan is Managing Director of IMS Heat Pumps and Geowarmth Heat Pumps, part of the Hometree Group and among the UK’s most established renewable heating specialists. She has worked in the sector since 2001, supporting early heat pump pioneers and holding senior leadership roles across the industry.

Emma is Co Vice Chair of the Heat Pump Association and contributes to MCS and CIBSE working groups. She is a committed advocate for heat pump installers of all sizes, championing high standards, technical clarity, and long term support for the decarbonisation of homes and buildings.

Craig Dolan has been an active participant of HPA UK for nearly a decade, having served as Vice Chair from 2021 before being elected as Chair in 2023. With over 18 years of experience in the heating industry, Craig has held various roles in Marketing and Product Management, successfully developing and launching cutting-edge heat pumps for the UK market. Currently, he is Senior Product Manager of Heat Pumps at Glen Dimplex.

Working for Mitsubishi Electric, a manufacturer in the UK residential and commercial HVAC market, Achilleas Georgiou can bring to HPA UK a strong combination of manufacturing insight, policy expertise, communications experience and public sector leadership. Achilleas’s work for Mitsubishi Electric gives him direct experience of the opportunities and challenges facing the heat pump sector from the perspective of a major industry participant. With this comes a practical understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing manufacturers, installers, and policymakers alike, required to support the continued growth of heat pump deployment in the UK. And, as such, is well placed to support the HPA UK navigate a period of significant market growth and policy change.With his strong track record of engaging effectively across a wide range of stakeholders, and his demonstrated history of working with major corporations, government and public sector bodies, and NGOs, Achilleas can contribute constructively to the collaborative and strategic work of the HPA UK. Achilleas also brings valuable government and public sector experience, including having served as a Deputy Leader for a Council. This provides him with a clear understanding of government priorities, public policy delivery, and the practical realities of implementing change at a place-based level.

Focused on delivering fantastic results and sharing experience obtained over 15 years in the Heat pump industry, having worked right across the industry and helped elevate the brands I have worked for. Extensive experience in heat pump system design, including a proven track record of leading successful projects. Proven ability to build and lead a team, including experience of hiring and training staff. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and develop effective solutions. Author of ‘Heat Pumps Unlocked’, real world System Design using the ‘Heat Geek’ method. A unique guide for home owners, apprentices, installers and professionals to understand the core principles of a heat pump installation, with activity based modules to help almost anyone understand what goes into a good system design, including heat loss calculations, emitter sizing, pipe sizing, control strategy, hot water, product selection, hydraulic separation, hybrid heating systems, underfloor heating systems and MCS Compliance.

Neil is an experienced heating industry professional employed as the Commercial Technical Manager at Grant Engineering (UK) Ltd, bringing more than two decades of technical leadership to the organisation. His career began in Ayrshire, Scotland, where Neil trained as an electrician before moving into plumbing/heating and later specialising in oil fired heating systems. This early hands on experience laid the foundation for technical expertise and long-term commitment to advancing low carbon heating solutions.

Before joining Grant Engineering in 2005, Neil held senior roles at Boulter Buderus and BBT, progressing from technical support to managing customer services and R&D functions during a period of significant industry change.

At Grant UK, Neil has played a strategic role in the development of innovative heating technologies, including the company’s evolution from oil boilers into renewable and hybrid heating systems. In 2025, he was appointed Chairman of OFTEC, reflecting his industry-wide influence and commitment to supporting the transition toward cleaner, more efficient heating for off grid homes. Neil continues to advocate for practical, scalable pathways to net zero, including the role of heat pumps, hybrid systems, and renewable liquid fuels.

With experience across Product Management and Policy at Groupe Atlantic UK, Lizzie has an understanding of the technical elements of the products combined with the ability to communicate across a range of stakeholders both technical and non-technical. With over 8 years of experience at Ideal Heating including working across the domestic product portfolio during the introduction of heat pumps to the UK market, Lizzie also have previous experience in global strategic marketing in highly regulated industries.  

Lizzie has experience of public speaking and engagement with civil servants as well as the ability to manage multiple topics and projects whilst maintaining a sense of humour. She is keen to support HPA UK to build on its current success and influence that we benefit from as members, and continue to ensure the heat pump industry works collaboratively to build towards the decarbonisation of UK homes.

Neil is am responsible for Government Regulations, Industry Bodies and Standards for Bosch Heating Home Comfort UK. He represents the Worcester Bosch in various trade associations across many sectors along within Europe and the UK and has been a member and co-vice chair of the HPA UK Residential Training Working Group and additionally supported the great work on the Gemserv Workforce Project and DBSP Domestic AWHP Design and Installation Guide Sub-Group.

Neil is an engineer with experience technically and across the wider business commercially who has managed R&D departments involved in heat pumps, hybrids, HIUs, mCHPs and traditional combustion products. Over the last decade he has been responsible for Customer Technical support and Heating Design as well as Head of Technical Training for the UK and Ireland in the transition to electrification.

Tom is Head of External Affairs at Mixergy, the smart hot water cylinder and energy management technology company based in Oxfordshire. He leads the company’s policy, regulatory, and stakeholder engagement across the UK energy system. With over 20 years in heating and energy, Tom’s career spans frontline engineering, product development, sustainability, SAP, and public policy. Before joining Mixergy in 2021, he held roles at Vaillant, Baxi and British Gas, which gave him a manufacturer-side view of how heat pumps, hot water systems, and building regulations interact in practice. Tom is a qualified energy assessor and works extensively on SAP 10.3, the Home Energy Model, Part L, and the Future Homes Standard. His current focus is making sure hot water and smart, grid-interactive technologies are properly recognised in the regulatory framework that will shape new build and retrofit out to 2050.

He represents Mixergy across trade associations, government consultations, and industry forums, and speaks regularly on EPC reform, low carbon heating, and demand-side flexibility.

Rob is focused on accelerating the electrification of heat as a core part of the UK’s energy transition, with expertise in the role energy suppliers play in scaling heat pump deployment. Within the ScottishPower Customer Business, he leads work across community partnerships, funded innovation, decarbonisation policy, and the development of integrated propositions that connect customers, networks, and supply chains. With over two decades experience within the ScottishPower Group, Rob has been involved in delivering electrification at scale, combining policy insight with hands on delivery across domestic, commercial and place based decarbonisation projects. His work centres on aligning renewable home technologies with wider electricity system considerations, including customer propositions, energy retail, commercial models, skills development, and supply chain readiness.

Rob has worked closely with installers, manufacturers, innovators, and government funded programmes to translate heat electrification policy into investable, deliverable solutions. This experience would enable him to contribute a practical energy supplier perspective to the HPA Governing Body Committee, helping positively influence policy, standards, and market frameworks that support the scalable, system aligned delivery of heat pump led electrification.

Richard Warren is Director of External Affairs at Kensa, a leading manufacturer and installer of Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHPs) and Shared Ground Loop (SGL)/ambient networks. In this role, he leads policy and representation work, advocating for decarbonisation through GSHP and ambient network technologies. Prior to this, Richard spent fifteen years shaping energy and climate policy within high-profile trade associations, including Make UK and UK Steel, where he secured major energy and trade policy shifts for the industry.

His experience managing membership organisations and their policy functions would make him a valuable addition to the HPA UK governing body. Furthermore, Richard’s trade association background demonstrates his ability to act with objectivity and independence from company-specific interests.

Damon has mastered the art of plumbing for over 18 years, but it’s his transformative work in the renewables arena that is redefining excellence. A multi-award winning installer, his installations set the benchmark for both performance and aesthetic brilliance. Now making history as the first Installer Representative for the Heat Pump Association UK (HPA UK), Damon combines technical mastery with bold innovation. In his eyes every install is a chance to perfect design, elevate operation and prove renewables can be as beautiful as they are efficient.

Tom Hayes is MP for Bournemouth East, and has been the HPA UK’s Patron since 2025. With a key role as National Energy Mission Champion, Tom has long been an advocate for reducing carbon emissions in line with achieving the UK’s net zero obligations. He brings a wealth of experience in green infrastructure and urban decarbonisation, including leading public-private investments in heat pumps, battery storage, and clean energy generation.
